At Designers Cove, we now offer convenient shipping options in addition to our full-service local delivery and professional installation throughout Southeast Michigan. Whether you need local white-glove service or nationwide shipping for smaller items, we ensure safe, timely, and reliable handling of every order.

1. Local Delivery & Professional Installation (Southeast Michigan)

  • We proudly serve the Ann Arbor, Dexter, and greater Southeast Michigan area.
  • All window treatments (shutters, blinds, shades, drapes) and upholstered furniture include professional installation at no additional charge for standard jobs (custom or complex installations may incur a quoted fee).
  • Delivery of larger custom pieces such as sofas, headboards, built-in seating, cornices, and boat interiors is handled by our experienced in-house team.
  • Same-day or next-day local delivery is available for in-stock items when scheduled in advance.

Please note: We do not offer “curbside drop-off.” All local deliveries include inside placement and basic assembly where applicable.

2. Nationwide Shipping (Now Available)

  • We now ship smaller items such as fabrics, trims, hardware, accessories, and individual window treatment components across the United States.
  • Shipping Timeline:
    • In-stock items ship out within 1–5 business days after order confirmation.
    • Most orders arrive at your door within 8–10 days from the date of purchase (including processing and transit time).
  • Shipping is calculated at checkout or quoted via phone/email based on weight, dimensions, and destination.
  • We use reliable carriers such as UPS or FedEx for secure delivery.

3. Custom Orders & Made-to-Order Items

  • Most of our upholstery, window fashions, and furniture are custom-designed and built to your specifications.
  • Production lead time for custom items is typically 4–8 weeks before shipping.
  • Once production begins, custom orders cannot be canceled or returned except in cases of manufacturing defect.
  • We will keep you updated with production and delivery timelines via email.

4. Shipping Costs & Responsibilities

  • Local delivery and installation fees are quoted at the time of purchase (many services are included).
  • For shipped items, you are responsible for all shipping charges, duties (if applicable), and taxes.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the item is handed over to the carrier.
  • We carefully package all items. If damage occurs in transit, please notify us within 48 hours with photos so we can assist with the carrier claim.

5. Warranties & Returns

  • Our 5-year workmanship warranty applies to all installation and custom fabrication.
  • Fabrics, blinds, shades, shutters, and other products carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Returns are accepted only for in-stock, non-custom items within 14 days, in original condition, and are subject to a 20% restocking fee plus return shipping costs.
  • Custom orders are non-returnable unless defective.

6. International Shipping

We do not currently offer international shipping. Please contact us if you have special requests.
